Bowdon Baptist Church
Preschool Kindergarten Program
The Kindergarten Program at Bowdon Baptist Church has been structured to provide a happy Christian environment in which your child can grow physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Our program will not only give your child the needed readiness skills for beginning regular school, but also the solid moral foundations on which to build a proper appreciation for the world, others and God. (See Kindergarten Objectives)
Educational research has discovered that during the preschool years your child is acquiring physical and language skills, as well as developing attitudes, habits, concepts, and a self-image. You have given us a challenging responsibility and an inspiring privilege of introducing your child to formal education.
Your child is given the opportunity to assume responsibilities, develop a love for learning and to acquire self-control through teaching patterns at Kindergarten. We hope your goal will be to reinforce these patterns at home. Of course, your comments and suggestions are always welcome concerning the teaching curriculum.
The Bowdon Baptist Church Kindergarten program was established and continues to operate on the premise of being an outreach ministry of the church and the community. If you are not regularly attending worship service elsewhere, you and your family are encouraged to come and worship with us on Sundays and Wednesdays. As your child’s formal education is complemented by regular worship involvement, the beautiful promise in Proverbs 22:6 can be fulfilled in your child’s life…“Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
