Praise the Lord, we are in and are enjoying our new education building. We say new because even though the renovation was a restoration and remodeling of the 1960 three-story building it looks like a completely new building. Everything you can see is new and bright. We are thankful to God for bringing us through phase one of our planned renovation. The re-dedication service was held in June and immediately we put the building to use during Vacation Bible School. It was exciting to see all the children and teachers making use of the new space.
Thank you for your continued prayers and your continued, faithful giving. At the beginning of 2007 we had a group of people who signed up to be "Square-Footers." The Square-Footer club consists of church members who have pledged to give $10 per week or $40 per month to the building fund over and above their regular tithes and offerings. It has been encouraging to watch each week as so many of our members have faithfully given week by week. Through the Square-Footers, the Children's Banquet for the renovation, and other fund raising efforts there has been over $79,000. given to the building fund since we started the actual renovation process last fall.
All of those who have served on the Renovation Steering Committee and Renovation Teams over the years have done a heroic job. Their hard work and dedication to detail certainly shows up in a beautiful, functional building that we can all be very proud to use for years to come.
